It’s time for me
to move on.
After 11 incredible years at Penumbra, t’s hard to put into words what this journey has meant — both professionally and personally. From the very first launch in Europe to leading complex strategic initiatives, these years have been a masterclass in innovation, resilience, and purpose.
I’ve had the privilege to grow alongside brilliant, passionate people — engineers, marketers, clinicians, and commercial leaders — all united by one mission: improving patients’ lives.
I’m deeply grateful to have learned from exceptional leaders over the years
— to Adam Elsesser, for believing in me from the very beginning and giving me the opportunity to grow; to Alain Cornil and Jim Pray, who saw in me the right person to lead the neurovascular business in Europe and trusted me to make it happen;
to Gita Barry, for always being there — challenging my thinking, sharing your wisdom, and helping me learn and understand more deeply; and to Joan Kristenssen, for your vision in driving Penumbra’s mission forward, and for your guidance and perspective on scaling both the business and
the organization.
Together, we built not only markets and strategies, but also a powerful network of people and ideas that changed how I see leadership, collaboration, and impact.
From the excitement of pioneering therapies and celebrating our first wins, to scaling globally and navigating challenges none of us could have predicted — this experience has shaped every part of who I am.
As I closed my laptop
for the last time,
I felt deeply grateful.
For the trust.
For the learning.
For the connections and shared purpose that will continue to inspire me long after this chapter ends.
This journey has changed my career
— and it’s changed my life.
Next chapter
— same purpose,
new horizon.
I’ve always been drawn to the creative energy
of early-stage building — to crafting a story from scratch, designing a go-to-market from zero, and building networks that help new technologies reach people, scale sustainably, and make a real difference.
Helping founders find the words and strategies that spark that kind of growth — that’s what excites me most.
That’s the next chapter
I’m writing.
For now, my heart is simply full of gratitude —
to everyone who made these 11 years
so extraordinary.
